Corita Kent "Rainbow Swash" Commemorative Lucite Block
In 1971, Corita Kent, artist, activist, and former nun was commissioned to paint “Rainbow Swash” on the LNG storage tank in Boston. At the time, it was reported to be the largest copyrighted art image in the world. These lucite blocks were issued after the storage tank was moved in 1992 and contain actual paint chips from the tank. A very rare find with such a special history.
Dimensions [2.6” x 2.75” x 1” thick]
