Blue silk with hand-embroidered chrysanthemums and orchids. Originally from the trimming of a woman’s robe, attributed to early 20th c. China, and specifically the Ching Dynasty (1644-1911). Purchased in 2010, from Teresa Coleman Fine Arts of Hong Kong, the certificate of authenticity is in-tact and adhered to verso. Professionally framed + matted under museum (non-reflective + protective) glass. Silver metal frame.

This set is one of the most strikingly beautiful pieces we’ve sourced. Individual-sized cut glass salt and pepper shakers with sterling silver and guilloché enamel in emerald green on cap. Signed along rim of cap, “925 9 Norway” along with the Hroar Prydz maker’s mark. Complete with original tray with raised braided detail. Excellent overall condition. Some patina on tray, as shown. Attributed to the 1940’s.
