Often referred to as a “bullseye” or “scientific” magnifying glass, this piece is so sweet. Lacquered brass body, which articulates up and down, with ease. The glass piece is on a ball joint and can tilt and rotate, as needed. There is damage along rim of the glass piece and some loss to adjacent gold lacquer, as shown, however it is working and ready to use. In the meantime, it will look amazing on a desk or bookshelf. Attributed to the 1940’s.

Vintage hand sculpted “barro negro” (black clay) stylized head/bust. Attributed to Oaxaca, Mexico. The glaze has a slightly metallic sheen to it. Unsigned. Small felt pads on base. Small chip on the base of back, as shown. Overall great condition.

Vintage reproduction (1981) of Henrich Hoffman’s Girl in Bath, originally produced in 1927. Designed as a table top pin or trinket dish. Frosted, cut glass. There is some white residue on tray and shallow chipping on bottom of base, as shown. Otherwise in good condition. Perfect gift idea for a lover of Art Deco design.

A mesmerizing study of Tsuguharu Foujita's Deesse de la Neige (Goddess of the Snow), originally painted in 1924. Oil on canvas. Signed in lower right corner, “S.S,” and on verso, “Sergej Sikacz.” Provenance unknown, however we believe age and style of canvas place it in the 1940’s-1950’s. Some age-expected wear to canvas; overall good vintage condition.

Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita was a renowned Japanese-French painter and lived between 1886-1924. The painting depicts Foujita’s muse and partner at the time, Lucie Badoud.

1960-70’s Knautschi style (Germany) red leather horse music box. Wind-up and the animatronic horse plays “Happy Birthday,” while also moving to the beat. The music box and animatronic function still works well, however the animal is no longer “plump” with sand, and therefore will eventually fall over. It’s quite comical and kitsch.

Mid century Heyco brass lamp with slender stem. Surprisingly heavy weight. Sweet clip-on linen shade with metallic gold trim. Felted base. Some patina and a couple of dents, as shown. Unique with great character. Tested and working.

Large vintage earthenware confit pot with double handles. Slightly metallic deep blue/green glaze. Lighter green glaze along rim. Small crack toward top on one side, as shown. Faux coral accent sold separately.

Rare-to-find silverplated “watering can” creamer, attributed to Peter Holmblad for Stelton, Denmark in 1970’s. Signed on base of handle, Silverplate, Denmark. Lots of patina, but it would polish up well, if desired. This could also function as an actual watering can for orchids or small plants.
