Brass Bird Ashtray by Napier (1940's)
So rare that we can’t find a comparable! Brass ashtray in the likeness of a bird, with wire-like feet (base) and a head/beak facing down and serving to further stabilize. The “tail” holds the cigarette. Heavy patina, as shown. Signed “Napier” on the underside of the tail. Napier is well-known today for their costume jewelry, however they produced a collection of barware and accessories in the 1920-40’s, which is highly collectible today.
