"Rest Your Tired Ash" Ashtray + Cigarette Holder (1954)
Vintage from the 1950’s, this handpainted ceramic ashtray is a hoot. A figural toilet, the bowl is intended as an ashtray with “Rest Your Tired Ash” printed around the seat. There is a hole on the back of the “tank” so it can be wall-mounted. The “tank” could hold loose cigarettes or matchbooks. Manufactured by St. Pierre & Patterson in 1964 (signed on base). Signs of repair on base, as pictured.
