"Mr. Kaatskill" Postcard with Ben Franklin Stamp (1906)
Mailed in 1906, this postcard is a souvenir from the Catskills, NY and features “Mr. Kaatskill.” Upon closer inspection, we were thrilled to see that this postcard was manufactured by The Hugh Leighton Co. of Portland, Maine! The inscriptions reads: “Dear Mabel, got home alright. Don’t forget to write. I’ll miss B. too. -Ella.” It is addressed to Mabel R. June of New Gloucester, ME. This was mailed with a somewhat rare Benjamin Franklin 1 cent stamp, in good condition.
