Rosaire Audet Carved Figure (1940's)
Rosaire Audet (d. 1947) was a well-known wood carver, painter, and sculptor from Loretteville, Quebec. He carved and handpainted figures of “Quebec people” and they were often sold as souvenirs. Beautiful detail and craftsmanship on each.
Woman with kerchief: 2.5” tall; unsigned; there is a carved hole in the base, so it may have been fastened atop something at one point.
Canadian Mounted Police person: 3” tall; signed “R. Audet” on base.
Small woman with apron: 2” tall: signed “R. Audet” on base.
