Early Toleware Candle Snuffer Tray
Early (18-19th century) oblong toleware tray with pretty handpainted detail. Black base with metallic gold floral pattern. and red accent. Originally designed to hold a candle snuffer, we believe this dates between late-1700’s to mid 1800’s. We love it as a vessel for small jewelry, matchbooks, or writing utensils. Lots of great patina and age-appropriate signs of use.
