Antique Sterling Silver Pendant/Amulet Necklace (Netherlands, 1814-1905)

$125.00
Only 1 available

Beautiful and mysterious! Sterling silver chain necklace with engraved pendant (or amulet). A single sword hallmark corresponds with pieces made in the Netherlands between 1814-1905. One end of the amulet can be opened by squeezing gently; which is where you can find the hallmark as well as three initials that likely identified the silversmith. The chain is very long at 81” and can be wrapped several times, as shown. We aren’t sure if the pendant served a function (ex: snuff, perfume holder, etc) or held symbolic meaning.

The seller we purchased from used a Nilton DXL analyzer to identify the metal (sterling). Weight is 34 grams. Our listing is based on this information.

Dimensions [amulet is approx. 1” long x .25” in diameter; chain is 81” long]
