"Elsie the Cow" Salt + Pepper Shaker Set
Salt and pepper set based on “Elsie the Cow,” a mascot for Borden Dairy Farms, beginning in 1936. The head is one shaker and the chest/shoulders is another. Both have cork stoppers. A sticker with “Elsie” printed appears on the shoulder. Handpainted. Excellent condition overall, with a small chip on the right “horn.” A rare find, this likely dates to the 1950’s.
