Antique Brass Crustacean
We’ve seen some brass crustaceans in our day, but nothing that is comparable to this unique and architectural piece (lobster? shrimp? crayfish?). We believe it to be quite old, likely early 1900’s, and it is a true work of art. The antennae are beautiful- with thin spirals of brass wrapped around. There is some expected wear, given it’s age; patina, some small holes, and one of the eyes has broken off. The level of detail and artistry is stunning.
Dimensions [8” long x 4” tall x 3.75” across]
