Weathered Original Oil on Canvas: Lighthouse Along a Rocky Coast (unsigned)
Original oil painting on stretched canvas, with a wood frame. The artist (unknown) depicts a lighthouse on the left of the canvas and rocky coastline below, the waves crashing into the rocks. On the right, there is a small sailboat in the background, surrounded by what appears to be a stormy sea. The light blue, brown, and grey hues are beautiful and provide a subtleness to the piece that is both stunning and calming at once. The work is sadly unsigned. Please note that there is a great deal of wear on this piece, including multiple tears and chipped paint, as pictured. However, we can’t get enough of it and have to imagine that it is quite old judging by the construction of the canvas, the way in which the paint has aged, and the style of painting itself. A very cool and unique find.
