At nearly 100 years old, this is the most pristine Buzzo Motto print we have ever come across. At the top is a stunningly vibrant Art Nouveau illustration of a human in a yellow gown with long red hair, with candelabras, urns, and cyprus trees . It appears they are looking out the window, as if missing someone. The poem below is titled “Absence,” written by Maurine Hathaway. It reads:

“A rose is quite as lovely when it blooms unseen, alone, a gem as rare although it lives, deep in a mine, unknown: A sweet song holds its sweetness when there is no ear to hear, and friendship is as precious when the dear one is not near.”

Small brass hook on the reverse for hanging. Signed 1926, G.A. Co.

Dimensions [4.5” across x 6.5” high]
