"Feria Nacional de San Marcos" Promotional Poster from 1960
A stunning example of midcentury advertising. Printed by the Mexican Department of Tourism to promote the Feria Nacional de San Marcos (San Marcos Fair), which is held annually in April/May in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes. This particular piece is from 1960. Writing along the top: “Al nopal lo van a ver” and along the side: “Mexico celebrara en 1960 las fiestas de la independencia y la revolucion.” This would look incredible framed! This is a rare find…in fact, we cannot find a matching poster anywhere in our research, which is well…very rare.
