Antique Bentwood Pantry Box (19th Century)
Pine bentwood lidded pantry box. It’s incredibly rare to find pantry boxes of this age in such beautiful condition. These would have been used to store items like grains, meal, sugar, spices and herbs. This box likely dates to the mid-late 1800’s. There is age-typical patina throughout as well as a small break in the wood on lid, as shown.
