Antique Porcelain Matchbook Holder with Striker

Antique porcelain matchbook holder/ashtray with striker on base. Featuring two women with a cherub, floral bouquets, and gilded detail. The tray would serve as an ashtray or surface for discarding used matches. The interior of the base is rough and unglazed, designed to strike a match (works well + requires “strike anywhere” matches). Signed on base: Prussia (along with maker’s mark) as well as a handpainted number sequence (possibly related to the individual artist, date, or series). excellent condition. Prussia likely refers to R.S. Prussia, a china company in Germany (1869-1956). Absolutely stunning and unique.
